Yesterday, at Kangarli Region Culture House, two-series film “Chords of the long life” devoted to the life of our great composer Uzeyir Hajibayli was demonstrated related to the National Music Day.

Before the demonstration, director of Nakhchivan State Film Fund Mirakif Seyidov made a speech and mentioned that this film devoted to the life and activity of great composer was shot in 1981. He stated that the author and producer of the film is the People’s writer Anar. The screenplay tells about the   creation history of composer’s works such as “Leyli and Majnun”, “Arshin mal alan” and “Koroglu”. One of the interesting aspects of the film is the creation of images of the composer’s contemporaries - H.Zardabi, A.Hagverdiyev, M.Magomayev, H.Sarabski, C.Garyagdioglu and others. The composer’s music is widely used in the film.

Then, teacher of Children’s Music School of Givrag district Nigar Ibrahimova made a speech on the topic “From the history of Azerbaijan music culture”. It was noted that Azerbaijan music culture has ancient and rich traditions. Mughams, music folklore, ashug music and the developed Azerbaijani composer school in the XX century clearly reveal the magnificence and majesty of our marvelous and magical art. Azerbaijan music, distinguished for its deep context, high nationality and humanity is the source of our pride.

The film “Chords of long life” was met with interest by the audience.
