Folk Instruments Orchestra performed at “Ganjlik” Center in Nakhchivan

Events related to National Music Day are being continued in the autonomous republic. Folk Instruments Orchestra of Nakhchivan State Philarmony performed at “Ganjlik” Center in Nakhchivan.

The announcer stated that events and concerts are being organized for several days in the capital and region centers of our ancient land on the occasion of the National Music Day.

It was noted that the National Folk Instruments Orchestra of the Nakhchivan State Philharmony was one of the first orchestras to start functioning when the philarmony established. Performances of well-known singers of the collective are met with the sympathy by music lovers. Today, the collective greets the music lovers with a new repertoire  as well. The art director of the orchestra is the Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elman Aliyev.

The orchestra performed “Uvertura” and “Jangi” from “Koroglu” opera by the great composer Uzeyir Hajabayov.

Young singer Ilkin Abdullayev sang “Olkam” (my country), “Vatanimdir” (my homeland”, romances of Uzeyir Hajibayov written by Nizami Ganjavi.  Honored artists of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulyanag Farzaliyeva, Mubariz Asgarov performed at the concert.

Then the orchestra performed the song “Aisha’s Dance” from our great composer Gara Garayev’s “Seven Beauties” ballet. Honored artists of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Azar Jafarli performed a lyric song by the well-known composer Said Rustamov, Honored artist the Republic of Azerbaijan Tural Najafov performed “Asgar’s aria” from Uzeyir Hajibayov’s “Arshin mal alan” operetta. Singers Gariba Hasanova and Narmin Huseynova sang works of Ramiz Mirishli, Tofig Bakikhanov and others.

Concert created pleasant atmosphere for music lovers.

Concerts related to National Music Day are being continued in the autonomous republic. The next concert program was organized in Ordubad Culture House yesterday.
