A meeting with honored worker of culture Akif Hajiyev

At the Nakhchivan State Carpet Museum, a meeting was held with Honorary Cultural Worker Akif Hajiyev, who is distinguished for his productive activity in enriching museum funds.

Note that, Akif Hajiyev has been working in Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s Memorial Museum in Nehrem village for about 35 years. He presented over 200 exhibits to museums of the autonomous republic.

Speaking at the event, Natavan Gadimova, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that today, in the ancient land, the residents have created a tradition to present the objects related to our history to museums. As a result of the presented exhibits, our museums are enriched, and the ancient artifacts that survived are safely preserved and demonstrated in our museums.  Over two thousand exhibits were presented to our museums over the past year.

Akif Hajiyev said that every citizen should actively participate in the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage. All of this serves to safeguard our cultural heritage.

Then Natavan Gadimova presented Akif Hajiyev the honorary decree of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a valuable gift.

At the end, the exposition of the Carpet Museum was viewed.
