Participants of the tour-action: “Marvelous historical monuments, development, renovation, cleanness of Nakhchivan amazed all of us”

In the frame of tour-action “Let’s discover our country”, the students visiting Nakhchivan left the autonomous republic with great impression.

Khayal Hajiyev, student of secondary school No. 278 Surakhani region, Baku:

My information about Nakhchivan was only by books and mass media. I knew that Nakhchivan is an ancient land with rich history. As it is said in proverb one time to see is better than to hear hundred times about. Information that I got about this land during four days was more better and useful than I have ever heard about Nakhchivan before. Nakhchivan is really a holy land. The development, renovation and cleanness of Nakhchivan left a great impression on us. During tour-action we have visited the secondary schools in regions of the autonomous republic. The conditions and equipments of these schools amazed us as well. These schools can be compared with the modern and high supplied school of the capital.

I knew that it is already 26 years Nakhchivan is in the blockade.   Establishing such beautiful conditions for children in a blockaded land impressed us very much. Highways and roads in the autonomous republic are perfect. We faced no problem with transport. I would say that the greatest of chance of Nakhchivan population is that there is no traffic jam on the roads.

I have made a great decision concerning my future after I got acquainted with Nakhchivan State University.  If I pass exams with high scores for university I will choose Nakhchivan State University. The four days’ care and warm attitude to us made me think that people are very hospitable here. I am very thankful to our president for the opportunity to know Nakhchivan more better.

Alsu Khayrullina, student of school No. 242 of Nizami region, Baku, also confirms her schoolmates’ opinions:

It is a pity that it is our last day in the autonomous republic. But at the same time I feel happy that we had a chance to get acquainted with ancient Nakhchivan.  During four days we visited museums, schools, various facilities and we got a lot of information about them. We visited the house-museums of Mahammad Tagi Sidgi and Mammad Said Ordubadi whose names we met before in books and had oral information about them. We learned some important information about our history from Ordubad History Ethnography Museum. We got acquainted with the secondary school no 3 built in the center of the region. The school has been equipped with modern equipments for the education of students. Not only schools of Ordubad region, but also all the schools which we visited in the other regions were on a high level as well. It means that education system of Nakhchivan is developing side by side its history and culture.

-On the last day we took part in Novruz festivities holding in “Nakhchivangala” Historical-Architectural Museum Complex. I knew that nakhchivanians always celebrate this holiday on a high level. But for this time I myself witnessed it. Even, they invited us to dance. We danced together with them and performed yalli.

One of the most amazing places for me is Duzdagh Physiotherapy Center. I have had information beforehand that from all over Azerbaijan and even around the world people come here for medical treatment. But it was my first visit Duzdagh. It is really a gift and a health source for humanity.

We are going to part with unforgettable impressions. We will share our impressions about the autonomous republic with our classmates and close people as well. If I am asked something about Nakhchivan I will tell them about historical monuments and beautiful nature of Nakhchivan, and I will say that it is a place where warm, friendly, hospitable people live.

We must note that on March 26, the students sent to Baku from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the frame of tour-action “Let’s discover our country” returned the autonomous republic. We have learned their impressions about the places that they visited.

Lala Jalilova, student at the secondary school No. 1 in Ordubad city mentioned thatshe feels herself quite lucky to take part in the tour-action. “In the frame of tour-action we got acquainted with interesting, places of historical importance in Baku and got detailed information about them. We saw the building of Heydar Aliyev Center which is considered one of the unique masterpieces of world architecture. The exhibition “Masterpieces of Azerbaijan” exhibiting in the center was more interesting for us”.

Konul Aliyeva, student at the secondary school No.1 in Shahbuz city shared her impressions with us and stated that we visited the palaces of Heydar Aliyev and Shirvanshahs, the Maiden Tower, the International Mugham Center, Carpet Museum of Azerbaijan and other places. Each place that we visited left a good impression on us. I will never forget what I saw and heard about “Ateshgah temple”. We learned a lot from the tour-action. In addition, we have also made new friendships.
