Last week's IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" was remembered with valuable works drawn there. The history, modern life, culture of the ancient land, as well as being the capital of the Islamic Culture are the main themes of these works.

The artists invited to the festival interested in visiting the sights of Nakhchivan. It is possible to see it in their posts on social network after returning to their homeland. These posts show the impressions of visits to the interesting places of Nakhchivan.

Turkish artist Nilufer Inaltong shared photos taken when they were in the Nakhchivangala, Artists' Park named after Bahruz Kangarli, Bahruz Kangarli Museum, Carpet Museum, Ashabi-Kahf Sanctuary, Nakhchivan State History Museum, Exhibition Hall of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Artists' Union and Ajami Space.

Diana Arslanova from Bashkiria shared her memories about Heydar Aliyev Museum, Ashabi-Kahf Sanctuary, Nakhchivangala, Momina Khatun Tomb, Ajami Space, Artists' Park named after Bahruz Kangarli and Carpet Museum.

The 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in Nakhchivan

On May 16, 2017, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated January 25, 2018, "Action Plan on holding the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" was approved.

An event dedicated to the 100th jubilee of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held in the main square of Nakhchivan - in front of Heydar Aliyev Museum on May 28.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the jubilee event.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sung.

According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On Approval of the Action Plan for Holding the 95th Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", the 95th anniversary of our nationwide leader was marked by a series of events in the autonomous republic. In accordance with the Action Plan, the IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Nakhchivan on May 21-24.

An exhibition of works drawn at the festival opened at the Exhibition Hall named after Bahruz Kangarli in the Artists' Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on May 24.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the opening of the exhibition.

The opening ceremony of the IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Ajami Space Culture and Recreation Park in Nakhchivan on May 23.

Rahman Mammadov, head of the Department for Humanitarian Policy and Public Organizations of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic said that a series of events are being held in accordance with the "Action Plan to hold 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" approved by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 16, 2018. IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" is also held in accordance with that Action Plan approved by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 16, 2018.

Photo-exhibition "My Nakhchivan" was launched

On May 22, “My Nakhchivan” photo-exhibition by Nakhchivani well-known young photographer Huseyn Bagirav was launched at “Gallery-1969” in Baku.

At the exhibition which outstanding scientific, culture and art figures of the republic, as well as deputies of Milli Majlis participated, the guests first watched a video dedicated to Nakhchivan.

The head of Permanent Representation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Baku Bakhtiyar Asgarov made a speech stating the importance of the exhibition. Bakhtiyar Asgarov highlighted the importance of the exhibition's dedication to Nakhchivan and underlined the importance of the photos in terms of meaning and content in the exposition. He noted that the photo-exhibition has great importance in terms of promoting, propagating the mysterious nature of Nakhchivan.
