"Family Farm Products" festival held in Nakhchivan

"Family Farm Products" festival was held on November 10 at the Historical-Architectural Museum Complex "Nakhchivangala".

The announcers of the event informed about the development of family farms in Nakhchivan and the work done in this area.

Head of department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Adalat Huseynov, said that in the autonomous republic, consistent measures are being taken in the course of development of family farms. As a result of the created conditions, the number of family farms is increasing and the family business is expanding. This opens up additional opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurships. Adalat Huseynov expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the care and attention to the development of family farms.

On November 12, Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center hosted the initial conference of internship of students studying at Tourism and Hotel Management specialty of Nakhchivan State University at Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Opening the conference, Piri Naghiyev, senior adviser of the Development and promotion of tourism sector of Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that the successful socio-economic reforms carried out in the autonomous republic have turned tourism into a developing sector thanks to the attention and care of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In the autonomous republic historical and cultural monuments have been restored, new hotels and leisure centers have been built, recreation, trade, healthcare facilities have been built in even the most remote settlements, and roads have been renewed.

It was noted that to provide the implementation of modern governance in the field of tourism, Tourism Department and Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center have been established. In the autonomous republic, the provision of the tourism sector with high professional and specialized staff was also kept in focus. Thus, Nakhchivan State University and "Nakhchivan" University train highly qualified specialists on Tourism and Hotel Management specialty.

A group of employees from "Nakhchivan" University agreed to cooperate with the Kazakhstan Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmad Yasavi at the Eurasian University Association Summit and signed an agreement on this. Student-teacher exchange has been started according to the contract. Within the framework of cooperation, recently the teacher of the Ahmed Yasavi University of Kazakhstan, PhD in tourism, associate professor Aktolkin Abubekirova came to Nakhchivan University to study tourism for a month.

The Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has undertaken a number of activities aimed at the development of tourism in October 2018. During the month, the creation of advertising materials was in the center of attention, and the project "Tourist map of Nakhchivan city" was prepared and submitted for preliminary review.

In the Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center, activity in the field of promotion has been developed, requests of tourists who have addressed to the Center have responded appropriately. 13 people applied to the Center (1 from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1 from Baku, 3 from the Islamic Republic of Iran, 2 from Turkey, 1 from Canada, 1 from Russia, 1 from Czech Republic, 1 from Spain , 1 from Germany, and 1 from Japan) and their interests were answered according to the content of the appeals. There was an application via Facebook social account of the Center and 3 via telephone.
