On February 17, 2023, a meeting was held at the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic regarding the production experience that the fourth-year students of the Nakhchivan State University majoring in "Tourism and Hotel Management" will undergo from February 17, 2023 to May 31, 2023.
Akbar Novruzov, the director of the department, opened the event and spoke about the importance of industrial experience for students. The main purpose of these experiences is to deepen the theoretical knowledge acquired by students in the classrooms throughout the year in combination with practice, and to develop them as professional personnel. It was noted that necessary work is being done by our state to train personnel in the field of tourism and to see their fruits in the future. One of the important tasks is to create a strong tourism industry based on the rich tourism resources of our autonomous republic. Therefore, personnel and personnel training institutions who can skillfully use the riches that attract tourists in every corner of our country have great responsibilities.

It is emphasized that the Department organizes regular meetings, seminars and conferences on various topics, and they are always guided by excursions.

The Director will pay special attention to the development of their practical skills and formation as a tourism worker in the internship, emphasizing the importance of being active in the internship process and wished them success.
Then the teacher of Nakhchivan State University, head of practice Nigar Bababeyli made a speech and stated that the main purpose of the production experience is to expand, systematize, repeat the knowledge gained during the theoretical training years in higher education institutions, acquire and improve professional skills and apply them in production.
In addition to being an important and integral form of knowledge acquisition in the modern pedagogical process, production experience is an important part of the curriculum of students of all specialties. During this period, the student enters the professional environment that he will meet in the future.
Later, Suleyman Rustamov, head of Statistics and Certification sector of Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, gave a speech and informed the students about the production experience program. It was noted that during the internship, students will be introduced to the activities of the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its subordinate enterprises, as well as museums located in the city of Nakhchivan, as well as hotels and tour operators operating in the autonomous republic.
At the end of the event, the students' questions were answered, and a video showing the tourism potential of the autonomous republic was viewed.
