A meeting with families of martyrs in Shahbuz city

On January 11, a meeting was held with the families of martyrs by the organization of Shahbuz region Culture and Tourism Department at Shahbuz City Culture House.

First, the memory of the heroic patriot sons who died for the freedom of our homeland and the integrity of our lands was commemorated with a minute-long silence.

The director of Shahbuz city Culture House Zakiyya Rustamova opened the event and spoke about the state care shown to martyr families in our country including the autonomous republic. It was mentioned that the problems of families of martyrs are in the focus of attention, appropriate measures are carried out to improve their housing and living conditions. Thus, till now211 war veterans and families of martyrs have been provided with flats and individual houses.

The director of the Culture House who said that granting aid to these families is a civil liability, mentioned that our people always remember the memory of our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our homeland and sovereignty of our state. Assistance to the families of martyrs, further improvement of their welfare and the solution of their social problems are continuously continued.

The chairman of Shahbuz Region Organization of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Bodies Council Mammad Bagirov, the chairman of Shahbuz Region Department of Veterans of Azerbaijan Homeland War and Council of Department Organization of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Khagani Hasanov made speeches. They mentioned that the life manifested people in different ways from time to time. One of these ways is heroism, which is merged with the feelings of love to homeland, commitment to country, feelings of bravery and courage, so it is not possible for anyone to reach the summit. They are our martyrs who fought for the sake of our state's inviolability and sacrificed their lives for the integrity of our Motherland. There are also martyrs from the Shahbuz district among the sons of the motherland who lost their lives for the freedom of our homeland, freedom for our lands. It is a great heroic struggle to see the difficult times of the fierce war, to fight face to face with death. Our compatriots, who participated in the Homeland war, have also gone through this heroic path. A great deal of patriotic sons of Shahbuz region participated in the Patriotic War, 19 of them were killed, 31 people lost their health and became disabled in different degrees.  The reporters emphasized that the solution of the social problems of the families of martyrs and war veterans is in the constant attention of our state and expressed their confidence that this will continue.

Mammad Huseynov, Azade Asgarova and   Khavar Salahova expressed their gratitude for the measures taken to immortalize the memory of our martyrs and their great attention and care for their families on behalf of members of the families of martyrs.

At the end of the event, circle members of Shahbuz City Culture House performed the poems dedicated to our martyrs and viewed the exhibition "Shahbuz martyrs".
