A conference on "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the founder of religious solidarity" was held in Nakhchivan on December 6. We present interviews with conference representatives.

Shaykh al-islam Allahshukur Pashazade, the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office: - The land of Sacred Nakhchivan has contributed many geniuses. Heydar Aliyev, the nationwide leader of our people, was born in this land. After coming to power for the second time in our country, our great leader has consistently taken measures to preserve religious values ​​and has taken the equal care of all religions. Achievements in multiculturalism, tolerance and religious solidarity are also the contributions of Heydar Aliyev's ideas. Today, the state-religion policy, found by  the great leader, has been continuing by Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the country, and religious solidarity is reinforced. The announcement of 2017 as the "Year of Islamic Solidarity" in Azerbaijan by the Order of the Head of State in 2017 is a continuation of this purposeful policy. The conference on "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the founder of religious solidarity" in Nakhchivan within the framework of the "Year of Islamic Solidarity" is important from this point of view.

I would like to note that Nakhchivan was historically a place where religious and spiritual values ​​were preserved. In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, along with the economic and cultural development, special attention is paid to the protection of religious values. Nakhchivan is becoming more and more beautiful day by day. I often come to Nakhchivan. I've also seen Nakhchivan's days without light, natural gas, and I see great achievements and progress in recent years. All of these make me very happy. Certainly, great leader Heydar Aliyev had laid the foundation for this development. Mr. Vasif Talibov, the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, who successfully continues the path of the nationwide leader in the ancient city, has done a great deal of work for the prosperity of the Autonomous Republic.

We visited museums in Nakhchivan before the conference, and we saw a magnificent newly built mosque  in Nakhchivan. The construction of such a magnificent mosque here is a sign of Nakhchivan people's loyalty to their religion, culture and land. These measures will enable Nakhchivan to successfully implement the mission of the capital of Islamic culture in 2018. This conference on "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the founder of religious solidarity" also proves it.

I wish happiness and prosperity to the citizens of the Autonomous Republic and, in general, to the people of the Azerbaijan Republic. I wish that our occupied territories liberated from the enemy's occupation. May God strengthen our President Ilham Aliyev, I wish him success in his work done for our Motherland. I wish good health to Mr. Vasif Talibov, the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis, one of the President's closest helpers.

Fattah Heydarov, Member of Milli Majlis, Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders: - While our nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev had been living in Nakhchivan, he had established the basis of the statehood of Azerbaijan. It was hard period for Nakhchivan and our country. However, that genius personality laid the foundations of today's development - the path of progress. Heydar Aliyev's path is a path of peace, friendship, solidarity. Today, as a result of the successful continuation and development of this policy by the President of the country, despite the fact that Azerbaijan is in a state of war, it contributes to peace, stability and religious solidarity in the world. The conference on "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the founder of religious solidarity" in Nakhchivan also calls people for peace, solidarity and unity, as the next positive outcome of this policy.

Before the conference, we visited the religious, cultural and historical monuments of Nakhchivan. Like a man who has lived in Nakhchivan for many years, I am glad to see such development here today. The work done in Nakhchivan is an example for all regions of Azerbaijan. One point that attracted my attention was the creation of schools and infrastructure that meet modern standards even in the most remote mountain villages. In general, today's development of Azerbaijan is an example of world development, progress, peace and security.
